Participatory reforestation in the Ecuadorian Amazon, Tena 2025-2029

This new planting wave in Tena seeks to reforest, in three years time, spoiled areas with 95,000 trees. The sustainable agroforestry model being implemented is helping improve the quality of life for Kichwas while protecting the adjacent primary forest. This initiative is a response to the issue of biodiversity loss. It is carrying on from previous projects focused on planting valuable trees in Tena.

90% of the donations received will be put into the project and the remaining 10% used to cover the running costs of A Tree For You

Up to 66% of donations as an individual are tax deductible from your taxable income, to a limit of 20% of the taxable income, if you are a tax resident of France. The French tax receipt can also be downloaded for residents of a European Union country, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.

For example, after tax deductions:

  • a €10 donation costs you €3.40
  • a €30 donation costs you €10.20
  • a €50 donation costs you €17
